Skills and AttributesA director should be a very enthusiastic person with a creative mind, who isn't afraid to try something new and different which makes them different to any other director, and also have lots of positive energy. This will rub off on the performers the director is working with which will get the best out of the cast as they are surrounded by positive energy and enthusiasm to be the best they can be,and the cast will want to live up to the directors expectations. Also a director should be patient because they will be working on several scenes in one day and maybe even working on one specific scene because they hadn't got the vision they wanted which could lead up to the director getting very frustrated but patients will help with that. It is good for a director to be very organised and know what he/she wants to get out of each rehearsal and also what they want their final vision to be. This will not only help the cast performing but all people behind the scenes (stage managers, lighting managers, wing flyers or maybe even chaperones) as being organised is letting everybody know what is going to happen when and where also having everything the directors needs to create their vision.
